Message Sticks is the annual festival celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. Under the artistic direction of Rhoda Roberts, the festival explodes to include song, dance, film, discussion and art, fusing contemporary and traditional cultural art forms.

Some of Australia’s leading artists including Archie Roach, Dan Sultan, Tim Rogers, Casey Donovan, Shane Howard, and Neil Murray will be showcasing their talents during spectacular nights of concerts throughout the week.

You can also join us for film screenings of powerful Indigenous films which will be followed by conversations, storytelling and debates with inspirational speakers.

There will also be free events daily with Dancestry, a modern day corroboree held at sunset, and Under the Beach Umbrella, an exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Tent Embassy.

Come and join us as we celebrate the unique and unexpected.
