APRA is teaming up with BASCA (The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors) to jointly host this very special Songwriter Speaks meeting.

APRA and BASCA will each interview one of their internationally successful songwriters. Members will then have the opportunity to meet fellow songwriters from BASCA in a wonderful celebration of international music.

We are pleased to announce that APRA’s guest songwriter is Phil Anquetil, who will be interviewed by APRA’s UK Member Services Rep, Cathi Ogden. Phil has lived in the UK for the past eight years working as a top-liner, lyricist, vocal-producer and mixer and co-owner of an independent Publishing company PHRASED DIFFERENTLY. He has written, co-written and produced hits for a range of artists including Tinie Tempah, Kelly Rowland, Jessie J and many more.

BASCA Head of Membership Graham Jackson will be interviewing one of the UK's leading media composers and sound designers, Marc Sylvan. Marc’s work can regularly be heard across the major television channels as well as in video games, films and commercials. Recent credits include 'The Million Pound Drop', 'Total Wipeout', 'Pointless' and 'The Bank Job'. Marc is published by Faber Music. He is also on the Media Executive and a professional member of BASCA.

This is a unique opportunity to hear about the creative inspirations and careers of two enormously successful and eclectic songwriters. Please note that this event will be held at a new venue (The Hospital Club) and places are limited so don’t miss out!
