APRA|AMCOS takes its privacy obligations seriously and is committed to ensuring that it handles personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy sets out how APRA|AMCOS collects personal information. It also describes how APRA|AMCOS maintains, uses and discloses personal information. APRA|AMCOS respects the privacy of individuals. Generally, APRA|AMCOS does not release personal information.
However, in response to a legal requirement, in an emergency or in exceptional circumstances, the Chief Executive Officer may at his or her discretion authorise the release of personal information. In all other circumstances this policy governs the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
Where APRA|AMCOS collects personal information it is collected for APRA|AMCOS’s business purposes, which are detailed generally on it’s website at www.apra-amcos.com.au. Where APRA|AMCOS documents require personal information, APRA|AMCOS will generally state the purpose(s) of this requirement and to whom the personal information may be disclosed.
APRA|AMCOS may, from time to time, send to you marketing material that APRA|AMCOS considers will be useful to you. APRA|AMCOS may also send you material about its activities. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can let us know and we will not send it to you. This does not apply to information that we are legally required to send, or information regarding the rights of our members.
APRA|AMCOS uses the personal information that it collects to fulfil its legal obligations and to keep its members and licensees informed of APRA|AMCOS’s activities and the services that it provides to it’s members and licensees.
Generally, APRA|AMCOS must get your consent before it discloses any of your personal information. You may give APRA|AMCOS your consent expressly or it may be implied by your conduct.

At any time, you may request access to personal information about you that APRA|AMCOS holds. APRA|AMCOS will process your request within a reasonable time and, if it is unable to give you a copy of the information, it will let you know generally the sort of information it holds about you.
You should promptly notify APRA|AMCOS if there are any changes to your personal information. You may ask APRA|AMCOS at any time to correct personal information it holds about you.
APRA|AMCOS may amend this policy from time to time, and the policy will be published on APRA|AMCOS’s website.
